Great report Byron. Had a brilliant day out with great company, weather, conversation and good finds too.
I had a few good finds including a hoard.......the hoard consisted of 2 x 2 pences, a 10 pence, 2 pennies and a five pence, all in the same hole in the very corner of the field. As i dug the hoard I dreamed of sipping champagne on a luxury liner cruising the Caribbean.... I came back to earth with a bump when the pennies started to appear
I did find a Georgian penny (1807), a nice St Christopher motor badge, a queen Anne silver shilling, loads of buttons and some other nice bits and pieces.
